Paint and Surface Area Calculator

A quick guide to calculate how much Bauwerk Limewash Paint you’ll need for your project.

Select a Colour

Choose your desired colour from the Colour Lab, then select the Paint tab.

Select your Surface Type

Choose the surface you’re painting. Coverage varies depending on surface condition and material, so select the option that best matches your project (for example, previously painted with conventional paint or a newly constructed, absorbent surface such as render).

Surface Preparation

Use the Why does this matter? link to learn more about each surface type and whether Bauwerk Prep Coat is required. If Prep Coat is needed, you’ll generally require a similar quantity to your limewash. If it’s not listed, you’re good to go.

Open the Surface Calculator

Once your surface type is selected, quantity options will appear with the corresponding coverage calculations. You can adjust the quantity to see coverage and costs update automatically.

Enter your Surface Area

Select your unit of measurement (metres or feet).
Enter the total area directly, or calculate it by entering the width and height.
If you’re painting multiple surfaces, you can add additional areas as needed.

Confirm the Area Size

The calculator will recommend the ideal amount of paint based on your surface and measurements.
Review your entries and click Confirm.

Add Paint to Cart

The paint quantity will display approximate coverage, cost per m² (ft²), and subtotal.
Add the paint to your cart. You can adjust quantities if needed before checkout.
